osborn.

a sucker for any chance to WEAR art (especially on my feet), i bought these amazing booties last year from http://shop.osborndesign.com/:

i get compliments right-and-left every time i wear them, even by strangers on the street (and i live in NYC, people, so passersby aren’t usually just “nice for the hell of it”). the shoes (and the genius artist who crafted them) have even been featured on daily candy and in the october issue of lucky magazine.

so imagine my surprise when my fabulously unique shoes ended up in my email inbox yesterday, as part of shopbop’s “Best of Accessories: 13 Standouts from the Spring 2011 Runways” feature—with Mara Hoffman’s name attached:

so of course, i did my due diligence, and as it turns out, mara hoffman used osborn shoes at her ss 2011 presentation. should i now expect my beloved booties to be seen around town more often?

i’m thrilled they’re getting the attention and credit they deserve, but i wish they were actually crediting OSBORN, not Mara Hoffman, who took no part in designing these beautiful little babes.
